Looking to have fun with the entire family and happen to have a Wii around the house too…well, you are just about set! The Wii is an amazing game to bring the entire family, as well as the neighborhood, together for a lot of fun in a casual party atmosphere.
Prepare for your party by making plenty of room for the games to take place. Move your furniture around to make this room for everyone to bowl, bat, duck, weave, etc. Also, a lot of fun will be had by the onlookers watching the games take place too. Make sure to throw pillows around on the floor to make it comfortable for the guests who are watching as well.
When your guests arrive, hand out some athletic gear to put on. Anything around your home will do, e.g. sweatbands, sports jerseys, ball caps, a referee whistle would all add to the fun. Make sure everyone is in comfortable clothes to be able to have fun with the games. If you are playing team Wii games, pick out team colors and dress alike to show spirit!
If a large group will be attending, set up multiple Wii stations and host a full Wii Tournament, otherwise, gather around your Wii and have everyone take turns. Create a scoreboard to keep track of everyone’s standings. Throughout the party, have guests vote on players’ performances and awarding prizes for different categories, including: Best Wii Style, Best Wii Remote Wielder, MVP, Best All-Around Wii Player, etc.
If there are new players to Wii, have a Mii Styling Session and have your guests design their new Mii characters. Who can create the most perfect Mii likeness?
For the food, serve a buffet of easy food, e.g. pizza, bread-sticks, fruit skewers, and brownies would keep the gang happy as they work up an appetite!
