Eggs are a huge part of spring, whether they’re classic colored Easter eggs, chocolate eggs, or small plastic eggs full of coins and candy.
If you are looking for a cute, easy favor for your upcoming spring party or Easter celebration, how about sending your guests home with special, homemade “eggs?”
Making a Classic Spring Party Favor
Blow up small egg-sized balloons, and paper mache them with liquid starch and newspaper strips. When the paper mache is dry, stick each “egg” with a pin to pop the balloon inside. Cut a hole in each, and fill the eggs with small goodies. Seal the holes with either paper mache or tape.
Paint the eggs a variety of spring colors with tempera paint, and write the kids’ names on them so that each can find and take his or hers home. You can also draw your own designs on the eggs if you feel like being creative.
Place the eggs in baskets filled with Easter grass, or hide them so the kids have to find them.
This is a creative, fun, and thematic party favor for spring! Hip hop!
