How many pieces of candy did your children receive during their latest trick or treat outing? I bet a ton! By some estimates I have heard average is upwards to 100 pieces. Will you let your kids eat it up at their leisure or will you seek to have them give it up voluntarily? I like what Design Mom does with her kids and their candy regarding this topic. Other Ideas for Halloween Candy Leftovers:
- Parents ask the child for the bag of candy in order to “buy” a special present
- Donate the candy
- Craft with the candy – lifesavers make great bracelets!
- Freeze it and enjoy throughout the coming year – even at the next birthday party.
