Here is a quick list of fun, kid-friendly activities courtesy of Celebrations.com. For more tips, be sure to check out their Valentine’s Day ideas.

Bake a hearty pizza

Purchase pre-made pizza dough from the grocery store and ask the kids to help your form it into individual heart shapes. Top each pizza with sauce, olives, cheese, or whatever toppings they like. Pepperoni slices can be trimmed into hearts as well, adding to the heart-shaped theme!

Make homemade cards to send to family

Who doesn’t love a homemade greeting card? A week or so before Valentine’s Day, have your kids make their own greeting cards to mail to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and whoever else they like. Before mailing, invite the kids to add their own personal touch to the envelope with stickers or drawings.

Assemble homemade bouquets

Purchase an assortment of pink, red, and white flowers from a local florist or grocery store. Pick up ribbon in the same colors. Set out the flowers and ribbon so the kids can design their own arrangement, either for the dinner table at home or to give as a special gift. For added punch, have them craft their own vases by painting covered milk cartons.

Decorate desserts

Bake a batch of sugar cookies, cupcakes, or a sheet cake. Once your baked goods have cooled, set out colored frosting, spatulas, sprinkles, and colored cake gel for writing. Let the kids decorate to their heart’s content. Serve the treats at school or at home so they can show off their work.  Check out Amazon for some Valentine great treat bags.
