Wall-E

Pixar has done it again... another great movie for the kids this summer as Wall-E takes on cleaning up the Earth all on his own ~ for 700 years!  Tough job, but he finds himself on an adventure of a lifetime when he meets Eve!

You could definitely use an Outer Space party theme to bring this theme alive, but then also include a few Wall-E specific party activities too!

Indiana Jones Party Ideas

Yes! Another Indiana Jones movie comes to life soon. And this is a particularly adventurous movie to base a party theme on..it works really, really well for kids into loads of fun activities.

Find your inspiration with these ideas:
Gummy Worm Invitation:
Take brown grocery bags and cut invitation-sized pieces of paper out from these bags. From there, write all of your party details on the invitation... you may want to request that the kids bring a change of clothes and/or wear Indy attire.

Roll up your invitation into a scroll and tie with twine. You can hand-deliver these invitations... or for some added fun... place a few gummy worms into small burlap pieces of material.

Place the scroll at the top of the bag where you will close the bag off with more twine... it's a unique way to invite the party guests to your own Indy Adventure!

Camping Party

Amount of Time: 10 to 25 Hours
Budget: $150-$500
Age Group: 6 years old and older
Indoor/Outdoor Space: Outdoors

Special Notes: Usually this party will be an overnight slumber party outdoors. So be prepared to host your party guests all night long. Also, in case of emergencies, make sure you have complete contact information for the kids' parents in case you will need to contact them for any reason.

Invitations

Make the invitation in the shape of a tent and have an opening. When the guests open the flaps to the tent, this will reveal the party details.

Make the invitation in the shape of a sleeping bag... you can have the outside be a primary color and then a matching slip of paper for the inside on plaid paper or a different primary color and put your party details on the inside paper. Seal the sleeping bag along the sides and the bottom. Send it in recycled brown envelopes for a rustic camping feel.

Use clip art and use camping pictures on the invitation to make a visual of the fun that will be had... i.e. a flashlight for flashlight tag, t-shirt for tye-dye t-shirts, hot dogs for your roast, etc.

Change the language on the invitation from standard to camp speak: You can be the "Camp Director," instead of place, put "Campsite," and instead of time, use "Camp Hours." This makes the invitation language in line with the theme. You can also name your camp, such as "Camp Silly" or "Camp Turning 8"
